Spread the Love this Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so take a minute to celebrate the ones you love!

A good old fashioned Valentine card is always appreciated, whether it’s from your partner/spouse or your mom, getting a card in the mail is always sure to brighten your day.

Writer’s block?  Don’t sweat it!  Don’t get too hung up on coming up with writing something deeply poetic, a simple “I love you” or “I appreciate all you do ” will go a long way.

If you have little kids, having them make Valentine’s for friends and family members is a great activity that is sure to bring a big smile to the recipient.

Even babies can get in on the fun!  Put ink or washable paint on their feet and position them in the shape of a heart on a piece of paper and voila!  You made a heart made out of baby’s feet.  Adorable!

You can also celebrate by sending cards to girlfriends or host a fun little Valentine gift exchange party (including chocolate and champagne, of course!)  Hey, who doesn’t need an excuse for a girls night?!

And of course, Valentine’s Day is a popular time for engagements!  If your special someone pops the big question over the holiday, be sure to come in and visit us when you’re ready to start planning your big day!

XOXO,

Maureen

Wedding Do’s and Don’ts…

Couples often stop by the store and ask questions about proper wedding etiquette.  I thought it might be helpful to address some of the most common concerns. 1.  Etiquette says that if the invitation is addressed to your friend and a guest, she is free to bring whomever she chooses.  However, if you address the…

Enough About the Bride – What food was Served?

In the past, wedding guests were often overheard discussing the beauty of the bride and groom’s impeccably-tailored wedding attire, the exquisite venue or the table settings at the reception.  The wedding quartet softly playing Handel or Pachelbel would set the tone and bring a tear to the eye.   Not so nowadays.  The wedding…

Shades of Grey? This Issue is Black & White!

I am often asked my opinion regarding the issue of a printed wedding invitation vs. an emailed wedding invitation.  Please forgive me if I sound like I am on a soapbox, however, on this subject, my thoughts are unwavering. I recently read in the news where Benedict Cumberbatch (say that name three times quickly!) traditionally announced…
